"And Sunrises Are Quiet Here" (1972) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0068161/ is a really great Soviet era movie. Somewhere in Karelia (near Finland) an anti-aircraft battery captain is having a problem - every-time new soldiers arrive, they start drinking and "socializing" with local women. His multiple complaints are finally heeded by his superiors, they send an ALL FEMALE unit. Now he battles a German paratrooper detachment with a bunch of untested teenage girls. The movie swings gently from comic to sinister, with a real war constantly in the background. Getting this film with English subtitles is probably not easy, the best way is to befriend someone who knows file-sharing very well.
