Hello,
I try to understand codes on M107 shells :
D571 : normal cavity
D544 : deep cavity

What mean R2BLA ?

It is the older A.I.C code. R2 indicates 4.5" gun and 155mm howitzer. BLA is M107 with supplementary charge. This can be removed to allow fitment of the longer proximity fuze. Normal filling M107 was R2BAA. M110 chemical is R2BCA, M116 smoke is R2BFA. There are also codes for charges, fuzes and bundle packages.

Sebastian, the U.S. uses DODAC numbers to distinguish projectile types. If you look in TM 43-0001-28, the data sheets for each round will list the DODAC number for each. An M110 WP projo is D550. I'm sure you already knew that.
