Hi,
Having just acquired an example of the above, could anyone let me know what cases it potentially could have been fitted to when made?
Thanks,
Mark

I don't know if it helps, but the flash tube is 4 7/8in long.

Following a clean I can see it is marked:

No9 III TG 1940

And then:

88
CY 3-41
6

Thanks for any info.

Given the date (filled 1941) and Mark (III) it could have been used on certain loadings for:
Ammunition (Fixed) Q.F. 4.5-inch Gun
Ammunition (Fixed) Q.F. 3.7-inch Gun
Ammunition (Fixed) Q.F. 17 Pr Gun
Ammunition (Fixed) Q.F. 3-inch How

later use included QF 77mm Gun, 95mm Tk How (blank), 3.7-inch RCL, 25 Pr, 120mm L1
