Got this the other day. And the links today. Will be adding to the display with some linked rounds when the weather improves and I can get into the OrdHut. As well, I'll take a pic or two with this residing next to a cal. .50 version, just so you can see how huge this thing is. The 'nade fuze gives a reference of enormity.

Continuing on the theme

To complete the 20mm setup, I just received an even dozen of the 20mm Mk2s. In the pic taking process, I noted some of the hulls were Boxer primed, some Berdan, which made for the lot to include four Mk4 versions. I don't believe they'd ever been out of their tubes until I started messing with them today. As they will become part of a display, I'll be cleaning them up to shiny and maybe get artistic with the projectiles. I would appreciate any pics of real rounds for the color and markings.

Hi Slick ,

Nice linker and Oerlikon (20x110rb) rounds.
As far as i know the Oerlikons were never used in a linked setup,being drum fed.
The links you have are for the Hispano 20mm(20 x 110), including the US version.The later US links also had a protrusion above and below the loop,supposedly to reduce twisting and jamming of the belts.

Yea, I'm flying blind here on exact details. Not up on all the 20mm variations. The links fit real nice like on these rounds, and considering their nominal cost, will just have to do. ACCURACY BE DAMNED!!! If anybody has a dozen Hispano 20mms, holler.

Your not the only one ,i purchased a dozen Oerlikon rounds already linked up, like you say they fit nice !
You should be able to find some cheapish Hispano drill rounds(the grey in the linker pics),most of mine came from the 'States.

I think I know where some of those are hiding. By the can full. They're a little more expensive, but Hey!, it's just money.
