Not too sure about the markings or country of origin but fairly sure the projectile is for plate testing (armour plate that is)

The Swedish had a 20 mm m/42C A.P. projectile.
This one is missing the red band.

Regards,

Chris

It was made by the famous SKF ball bearing factory in Sweden.

Hello,

Maybe I'm wrong but I know this round with a case for recoilless gun Carl Gustav M42.

I think Minenaz16 may be right.

I have a Carl Gustav M42 round and the projectile looks very similar

The projectile is marked:

m42N4444H then it looks like a partial 0 and trident/splayed W symbol.

I tried to photograph the markings, but it did not come out clearly, the markings are in a single line around the projectile above the driving band.

So it looks like this projectile may be in the wrong case

I also have a complete Carl Gustav round and the projectile has the same markings as yours.

But I have a 20x110 Hispano round with a projectile which looks identical, except for the markings, which are almost the same as the ones in the first picture. So although I can't check the weight, it seems possible that the same projectile may have been used in two different cases (except for the markings).
