Nice stuff Bob! Always great to see the sectioned rounds of the hard-to-find stuff. Thanks for sharing.

Oh my word Bob, I think I'm going to have to give up collecting these things and just look at your Vulcan photos:tinysmile_tongue_t: instead, they're fantastic, thanks for showing them. The little apfsds ones are really excellent.
Dave.

Dave,

Don't let me be the one to change your life!! I am more than positive that you could post a ton of things that would short circuit my keyboard as I drooled over it. I just thought I would randomly gather like caliber examples of some of the collection and post them. Sit down, grab a pint and take a deep breath.

Bob

Hey Bob, Thanks for posting your collection. It's awesome. Have you got any information on the M99 and T283E1 projectiles. ie Ball, years testing, ect? Just about any information you have would be great. Also, I bought two Live "China Lake 20x102mm Experimental rounds" that has percusion primers and M95 projectiles. I came to the conclusion that they never existed and these are either custom loads or whatevers. Do you agree?

Thanks
....JR

That's a terrific collection, Bob.

I can't see in it the one I'd really like for my collection - the streamlined PGU-28. This really ought to be common, as it's been the standard ammo in USAF and USN planes for decades, but I've never seen one outside of photographs.

I'd also like the two current Phalanx APDS rounds: with a white plastic sabot for the MK149 used in the standard Phalanx and with a red sabot for the MK244 used in the latest Block 1B.

I do have one of the new PELE rounds, though :tinysmile_classes_t

Here's a not so good pic of the PGU 28. As I said in a couple other popsts I loaded these nd the Phalanx rounds when I worked for GD-OTS. Pics of both the PGU and the newest Phalanx follow. We loaded all the SAPHEI rounds in 20mm and a newer round 25mm for the government, until ATK got part of the contract.

Tony,

Here's a picture of six PGU rounds that are coming my way :)
