I recently picked up the projectile and thought I would try to restore it as a side project. It appears to be a 25 Pr AP Shot, but I was wondering if someone could give me more details about the markings. Does the IX mean Mk 9? The reference I have ROAS Vol 4 Pam 7 QF Separate Ammunition and it only lists Mk 1 to Mk 8. It also does not provide much detail on the markings found on the base of the projectile.

The photos show the projectile as found. After cleaning with a wire brush and the visible markings on the base of the projectile. Unfortunately, portions of the markings are unreadable.
