Hi,
who has pictures/ drawings of 30.5 cm S.K.L/50 projectiles (navy) with stenciling from WW1 era?
I have a wooden replica of a 30,5 cm projectile and I want to paint it in colours and correct stenciling as used in WW1 by the German navy.
I have info on 30,5 cm projectiles with WW2 stenciling, but I can`t find WW1 info on the internet.
Anyone who has info, pictures, drawing that could help me, please let me know!
Maybe stenciling on projectiles which have an other caliber from that time are the same, so that could help also!

Best regards, Cornman

Hello Cornman,
here all what I have. Sorry, but it's all in french and I'm not sure that it is what you are looking for.
Thanks to Henry Belot, french EOD, for his documentation.

Hi,

As you well know, this is not my area of expertise, but... I do have a nice digital copy of a document called "Notes on German shells", dating back to 1918.
There's one reference to 30.5cm ammo, see the attached page.
If you send me an e-mail, I'll put you in touch with a very good acquaintance of mine, who happens to completely specialise in German WW1 (and earlier) ammo; I'm quite sure he'll be able to help you out further, and he's very friendly too.

Cheers,
Olafo
