Nice cutaways.

The BPD 952 round is supposed to be empty. These were made as dummy rounds and can also be found with three flutes in the case.

Very nice Wolfgang,
a little more info about the Italian 'dummy',these were also supplied to the UK in 1983 for use with the Army Cadet Force who were still using number 4 Enfields at this time,a UK contractor altered these by adding the three flutes to conform with standard requirements with UK drill rounds

Tony

The BPD dummies altered for the UK also had a hole drilled through the primer and pocket.

It seems that a dummy with a bullet jacket only and no wood distance piece would get damaged during use very quickly.
