4 cartridges with a wierd rim?

In this picture I came across, you'll notice 4 cartridges with a weird rim. To me it looks as if they've been tempered with although I do
not see the reason to...

I have no further information on those rounds. I've used the rounds next to them to determine the caliber and I guess it
to be between 8-13 mm.

But I hope someone can determine them seeing that weird rim...

a the vent tube is used on guns like the L11 series 120mm rifled gun to initiate bagged propellant charges .

The correct designation for this is actually Tube Vent Electric or TVE for short.
