40mm ? Fuze id please

another addition to the collection is this cut fuze,cant get to my measuring stuff at the moment but it looks like its for a 40mm of some sort,can anyone id from the photographs please,,the only remaining marking is 44.

I'm thinking it is the Mk. 27 U.S. Navy fuze, or a foreign copy. I've never seen a brass booster before on the U.S. stuff.

You are always welcome Allan! It's too bad that the drawing doesn't detail the internals very well. Maybe some of the other guys have better drawings.

Huh! :hmmmm: Apparently, we used it to... now using Fuze PD,SD, L1462 on our L/60 ammunition, 40mm HE-T.
