6 Inch Mk XI Naval Gun

Howdy Fellow Collectors,

After looking through a fair bit of info I cannot seem to find anywhere that the 6" MkXI gun was either bag charge or QF using a brass cart. These guns were ex HMAS ships of WWI & some where placed in shore defense emplacements during WWII.

Can anyone throw some light on this for me please?

Howdy Ray,

Thanks for the link, interesting info.

I am presuming that the gun was bag charge not QF with cart case.

The Port Wakefield gun is no longer there, it has been shifted to Sydney & a 155mm US Long Tom from WWII has been put in its place.
