Hi all,
I've got this German case that it has strange rolling mill.

Does anyone have any ideas about this rolling mill, what for this could be?

Thanks

According this document, the 'rolling mill' shouldn't be there..

Do I see it correctly that the ring in mouth is expanded outwards? If so, could the case have been fired from a gun with damage in chamber? However I don't believe in this theory.
Anyway the case should not have any crimping groove as it was for separate loading.

The most logical answer is someone has been playing with it in a metal workshop.

What does the mark look like on the interior of the case?

Hi to you all...surely this case is for the HI/A round that was a fixed round. I have seen others like this.

This showed case compared to fixed case, there are difference, but i`m sure it`s not someone playing result. Here is a attached picture of fixed case for le. I. G. 18 and carrying box for this kind of ammo.

The hollowcharge Hl/A was the only fixed shell for the gun but the crimp in the first post looks too low.
Endel what is the projectile pictured in your #7 post?

The other problem is the rolling mark has been forced out. Therefore it would suggest the mark was made on an empty case from the inside.

I still think it is not an original crimp.

I agree with you, it`s strange crimp. Ill make some more pictures of this.

Post 7. Case and shell on the following picture. Projectile without a tracer is a original set. Exhibit of museum.
