88mm Flak headstamps

Derek

Well-Known Member
I have this German 88mm Flak case but I would like to know what the headstamps mean and the possible date?
It is stamped P 11 G with what looks like an early eagle with Waffenamt stamp WaA107 and 6347.

Thanks...............

I can tell you that the letter 'G' when found on German incendiary bombs indicates a date of 1935, but wether this applies to your case I have no idea. Maybe someone with specialist interest may be able to help you with this one?
regards Kev

And wat looks like two toothbrushes at an angle pointing down and underneath letters WaA107
Cant identify this one I am a novice.

You have a German WWII 150mm artillery casing. 6350 is the casing design number. The tooth brushes you describe are the Waffenamt or German inspector stamp of approval.

:bigsmile::bigsmile::bigsmile::bigsmile:

it is a very symplified picture of an eagle with spread wings holding a circle with swastika.
Usualy stamped, sometimes in color, can be found on all german military hardware. Sometimes hard to read. There are whole books on the waffenamts.

Do not worry, you have come to the right place to ask questions.

To be more specific, 6350 is for the German sFH18 15 cm howitzer.
