Hi Dave,

What is the diameter and are there any base markings?

Thanks
Cheers
Drew

G-Day SScrooge,

I think by the proportions of the fuse adapter & copper drive band configuration it is a 13pdr Field Gun shrapnel projectile.

Have a close look with magnifying glasses if possible around the body of the projectile, there should be some stampings into the metalwork there somewhere, under the paintwork?

I am not sure you have got the dimensions right, measure across the base, it should be about 3 inch for 13pdr & about 3.5 inch for 18pdr?

Good luck,

Regards Ozzi.

sorry, i put the circumference measurement instead of diameter,,its 3in diameter, i will try and have a closer look at it, cheers Dave
