Austrian Model 16 Bounding Rifle Grenade

HERES AN UNUSUAL RIFLE GRENADE. IT IS DESIGNED TO POP BACK UP IN THE AIR WHEN IT IMPACTS WITH THE GROUND. A THIN SHEET STEEL COVER ENCASES THE GRENADE AND THIS ACTS AS A LAUNCHING TUBE.
UNDER THE COVER THE BODY HAD A LOOSE FITTING NOSE CONE WHICH IS HELD IN PLACE BY THE BRASS FUZE. UNDER THIS NOSECONE IS THE SMALL GUNPOWDER CHARGE WHICH WILL PROPEL THE BODY BACK UP IN THE AIR. UPON IMPACT THE CHARGE IS IGNITED ANDTHE BRASS FUZE SHEARS OFF AT WEAKENED POINTS THUS RELEASING THE BODY FROM THE NOSE CONE AND ALLOWING IT TO BE SHOT BACK INTO THE AIR A METRE OR SO BEFORE EXPLODING WITH GREAT EFFECT.
THE TAIL FINS THAT DROP TO THE END OF THE ROD UPON FIRING ARE A BIT CORRODED. DOES ANYONE HAVE A SPARE?:tinysmile_shy_t:

Paul,
I do not have a drawing but you may be interested to know that the No 39 Grenade was used as the basis for a British experimental rebounding grenade.
