Ammo box full of old tools at the local flea market that no one was interested in so paid £6 for it. Been painted light grey over the original with four vertical stripes and a illegible word, then grey again. But the original stencilling was visible and after paint stripper and thinners applied the photos show what was uncovered.
18 BOMBS IN 3 CARRIERS on the middle panel. 2' MOR SMOKE CARTGES 55? GR BALLASTITE MKII on the right panel. SMOKE on each end.
Looks like the right panel has the LOT number and could be the date at the bottom of the middle panel.
The box is so beat up I've had to strip it down to parts to straighten it out. Aim to restore it to original look.
