Hello,

was looking to find the BS381C color code for

2" HE round
2" SMK round
2" HE round 167B box (BS381 499 Service brown no 2)
2" SMK round 167B box

Thank you!

2" HE body finish is the same as a mills bomb in a shellaced finish, use a dark button polish meth based, unless the great glorious EU haven't banned it already. They didn't use varnish as it took to long to dry for production. The round was finished with a red and green band, note these bands were applied by hand in a hand spun cradle. The lettering was usually stenciled in white some parts were black on the green band. The 2" smoke body except the cap was painted by hand in a spun cradle in light Brunswick green BS381C 225, a red hand spun painted band was applied to the top about 1/2 down from the base of the cap. Lettering in black, same for the WP round but had a white band instead of red. As for the box you are correct with the BS381C code, watch the finish you get in this colour as gloss is a much more chocolate colour than Matt or satin, you would think they were two different colours. The smoke bomb is the same colour as the HE box. The same applies to 3" rounds as well.
