Sharing some good pictures of a very old fuze ...

My information has this fuze made (or designed) by the U.K. and used by the U.S. We used it on coastal artillery.

MK IX PD Fuze ...

a couple of questions ...
What is C.S.P mean?
Also, does anyone have a one with the Booster/Gain?

Joe

Isn't that one the 'modern' version of the British fuze no.101?

This is the older version:

The manuals that this came out of was really old. I has the look of the 101 for sure. It might be the original 101 that the U.S. renamed the MK IX. I am assuming the CSP is a British Company.

I tried to find the meaning of the monogram CSP, as manufacturer and/or filling factory.Unfortunately no luck.
p.d.f. should mean: Point Detonating Fuse

The only CSP I have is Clarkfield Springs Pressings Ltd, Redditch, UK which looks about right for this sort of item.

Hello Joe,

US fuze made with body of British No 103 (short base and no thread for the gaine)

Regards
