Nice grenade. I've got one of those, all chrome plated - dead flash it is too!

Nice looking grenade but I have a question about the markings. I read on the forum that Canadian made grenades were marked differently in that the red X's were painted just above the center line of the grenade while the green band was just below the center line. The grenade shown is painted in the British style. So, question is, were the Canadian grenades painted differently as a rule or were there in fact variations?
