Ceramic F1 experimental grenade

Freaky

Well-Known Member
My newest arrival is this Russian experimental ceramic F1 grenade.
These were prototypes that never entered full production or service and were tested in the field in Kurland in 1944/45. These were ruled ineffective as they did not cause a large enough explosion or damage and were never fully implemented. This example has been blown but did not fully shatter.
All those experimental ceramic I have seen have got the fuze blown off.
If any one has more information about these nades I appreciate.

Cheers
Freaky

I think used all types of russian time delay fuses - UZRG and Koveshnikov.
Koveshnikov as very mass fuse from 1926 year....UZRG from 1942 year...
