Just got this in the other day, a Chinese 40mm TP grenade! I now have an example of Chinese 35mm and 40mm grenades.
The body is 2 piece, the nose made of aluminum that threads onto the body and was held there with silicone. The body also seems to be aluminum or a similar metal and is anodized gold. Body is marked "BGJ2 40MM". There is a hollow cavity inside the projectile but not sure if it held anything like chalk. The case is also made of aluminum, similar to US 40mm casings. The side is marked "LOT 01-09" and head stamp is "L02 08 343".
If anyone has info on these I would be very interested, there is no info online (that I could find) and no pictures either.
