This is a movie about Duchess Elisabeth of Bavaria, Empress of Austria and Queen of Hungary 1837-1898 https://www.imdb.com/title/tt11992694/, the wife of Franz Joseph I, the Emperor of Austro-Hungarian Empire. Unfortunately, this movie is half historic truth, half fantasy. So when you start seeing things or when Her Majesty sits through a rendition of Rolling Stones' As Tears Go By, don't blame yourself, this is intentional. In German, Hungarian, French and English. This movie is an over exaggeration of Elisabeth's somewhat unconventional behaviour which ends up as a heroin fueled psychotic mental romp.
