Here some pics of a Dutch manufactured 25 Pr. The Dutch army used yhe 25 Pr from W II until the late 80's and made the ammunition for it. Her the Nr 74 which is specialy made to use the VT fuze T-97. Enjoy.

Thanks for showing, that is a great cutaway example!

Great stuff. I did not know these VT fuzes were used on common artillery shells. Thought they were meant for Anti aircraft use only.

Hi spotter the first 2 are manufactured in Holland, the illuminating has a mechanical time fuze not sure about the number Nr 40? and is of the DIXI type.

VT fuzes where used a lot in artillery ammunition even in the second world war, in the most soutern part of holland sometimes we find 105 mm's with a VT fuze.

VT is used for airburst on the target and largely took the place of MT for that role, though ET might have caught up with it. It's a SPECIAL day when you're on a ridge with an Observation Point (OP) observing the impacts on a target island and the VT fuzed 155mm HE rounds range on the ridge instead of the target. FUN, FUN!
