One of my fuses that i thought worthy of some light restoration.

Painted with what looked like jam and needing stripping back.

I havnt removed any of the machine marks which makes the
fuse look sharper,so this is about as far as you could go
on the metal side of things.

This is the Elaz 38 impact fuse used in the 250 500 and 1000 kilo
range of bombs

Nice clear head stamps,it looks well after the de-gunk.
Was that original paint or some sort of storage wash?

Not sure Waff
looked like someone had varnished it and used oil based paint.
we will have to coax fuzeman in on the subject

The fuze appears to have been repainted it should be lluftwaffe grey!

Looks well now though.
How did you polish it up mate? buffing wheel or a lot of hard work by hand?
