Fort Nelson 2011

Spent an enjoyable day down on Portsdown hill at Fort Nelson today. I often pop down there as it's less than an hours drive, has free admission and is home to the royal armouries collection of artillery. They recently (August) opened their new entrance shop/cafe and a new glass display area so thought I would pop down and take a look. Here are a few pictures of some of the items I photographed. I have left out some of the pieces that others have shared before.

I was there on Thursday running a training course for the curator and some of his staff. One of my guys got the oportunity to fire the 25pr at midday. An excellent site. Well worth a visit.

Great photos Ben, thanks for showing. Living not too far away I went there last year for a visit, great place and looking forward to going back soon.
