On the trail of a "shell" for a sponsored eventI asked my local "Scrappy" a man who is known to be able to acquire thingshe turned this up. Any chance of a little help on identification?
Its about 115mm Diameter and 500 long..but this includes something made from what appears to be lead fastened to the base. As we are very near to Albright and Wilsonas wasIm thinking something with Phosphorous in it and part of the filling mechanism still attachedover to you gents?

120mm High Explosive Squash Head (HESH) me thinks. they have 4 tracer pockets at the rear whereas the white phos only has 2 if memory serves me well.

The base is made of aluminium and was part of the base fuze.
