German 7.5cm Flak 36H

Pictured alongside a German 88mm Flak case is what I think is a German made case for the British Vickers Model 1931 AA gun. The case is 497mm long with a rim of 102mm and is well marked on the base as a 7.5cm 36H, dated 1941. I understand that the Vickers gun was widely exported and used extensively by Finland and Romania. This particular example turned up in Brittany.

Yes it is. Made by Hembrug (guo) in The Netherlands, with Dutch primer. Nice find!

You collect for 40 years and you don't find a case then 2 come along within weeks, funny old game!

Pictured is the second case headstamp, potentially slightly earlier in 1941 and possibly still with the original Dutch makers mark? Although the German acceptance mark is very clear, this one turned up in England is poor condition.

The mark on the left is the sign of artillerie inrichtingen zaandam in the Netherlands.
