Probably a question which has been asked lots of times before, but I have a standard early war German incendiary bomb which some one gave me many years ago and I am wondering if it is safe to keep or could it still ignite.
The previous owner appears to have half unscrewed the nose cap and given up when he could go no further. Obviously I am not going to put a lot of force on it not knowing its condition. You can see right through the casing looking through the row of holes near the top.
What type of fuse is used in these devices to ignite the casing and filling if they have any.
I understand from another collector that this is not the late war version with the anti-handling charge.
