I wonder if somebody has found out some more infos about the German Luftwaffe Mistel warheads. The final warhead weighted app 3,5 to 4,0 tons depending on sources.
It has a long sting and was of the shaped charge type. The fuzing system was very complex and made to attack the home fleet in Scapa Flow.
Seven fuzes had to set in to make the warhead ready. Impact and accoustic ones - and others ?!. May be proximity ones?
The bomb crews has had big respect for this enormeus warhead. One was set into the tip of the sting.
