Hello Pat,

the only doc I have speak about the different projos used with the 38 cm 45 cal rapid fire gun and, probably a little problem for you, it's in french.

I will precise that all this documentation is made by Mr Belot Henri, french EOD technician of civil protection.
It is really great done.

Would be an impressive tank i guess.


According to what I've read, only 25 of the tanks were built by the end of the war. One historian said it could have changed the outcome of many battles.

There are only a few of the rounds left to be seen, Dutch EOD has one, the tank museum in Munster, Germany has one (with their tank), and there is one at a State EOD facility in Germany. If nobody else has it handy I might be able to dig out a photo of the projo later.

Maybe your shell is from the Westwallthe germans have used al lot of navy guns there with kaliber 38 cm even the most of the german ww2 battelships bismarck ,Scharnhorst ,Gneisenau have used the 38 cm gun in there turrets !!
Some of this guns were dismantlet from some ships and mounted on the westwall bunkers !!
