hello there,

Anybody an idea if these are WW1 vials intended to be used in gas projectiles?
Looking to identify these glass vials.

There are 4 types that i need help with

two similar models but with brown and white glass
one type with a depression in which a tread is placed (the one with the bigger collar / top)
one that looks more like a regular (medical)vial

Photos are not really good, could try to make better ones

Better photos would be a huge help. Instead of photographing the screen, just post the images themselves ;-)
Having said that, based on these pictures, they're glass ampoules from pre WWII carbon dioxide fire extinguishers containing concentrated sulphuric acid. The cylindrical item in pic IMG 1122 looks to be one of the containers they're stored in.

The only item i can't ID from these pictures is the bottle in IMG 1123.

If you post better pictures i'll give you more information on each type.

Cheers

Pete

hey pete,

thanx for the reply.
I wanted to get something posted on the forum and did not have better pics yet. these were sent to me by a colleague.
I will try to get you better ones.

We had pointers that said similar things like your comment, indeed they id them as possible fire extinguishers but we wanted to have as many opinions as possible.

But thank you for your thoughts
