A friend sent me these photos to see if I could ID this projectile. I have no clue so I am hoping someone here may be able to help. The only info I have on it is, that it "is 95mm solid lead over 20 pounds with small center hole which goes nearly to the bottom. No markings."

Thats not a projectile, looks like a lead "pig". Used for putting radioactive substances in when in labs so it doesn't contaminant stuff with radiation. They come in all shapes and sizes. Cool item though.

Just as Spaceinvader said, probably a radiation containment vessel to store a small container of a radio isotope or something on that order.
