Any idea? I have been thinking 75-76mm tank or 17 - 18lb. Any help would be greatly apprecaited.

Not even close.

Ok, I was well off the mark. After a bit of a clean up it appears this projectile is not close to being manufactured anywhere near in the last 100 yrs.

From the attached pictures you can see the shell appears to be cast, the driving band is rudimentary in it attachment to the projectile and does not provide an equal height around the projectile, there also is no signs of any internal trends at either end of the projectile.


This is starting to get very difficult.

This could even be some old blokes creation from years gone by.
