Indentification

Hi

I wonder if anyone could and identify this "bomb" its use , the era it is from and what aircraft this would have been dropped from or is it for classroom training use ? it has numerous stencilling on the side but can't really put it all together apart from 25lb .It was given to me approx 30yrs ago forgotten about and left in the back of the garage up until now.
