Iran Ammunition Catalogue

There are some very interesting rounds of ammunition in that catalog and all written in the language of the "Great Satan". They have 130mm projectiles for Russian/Chinese guns with U.S. model fuzes, and they have Rocket assisted and Base Bleed 130mm projectiles too. There is something a bit strange though. They have a Dart round for a 105mm Tank gun that has a rim on it like a 7.62mm NATO. I'm thinking that they might advertise all this stuff, but might not manufacture it till they get a contract, because that photo looks fake and screwed up.

Pictured are two rounds. One looking close to a U.S. M456 HEAT round, and the Dart photoshopped using a 308 case.

Would you buy a used car or ammunition from this country?

Most manufacturers advertize items they actually produce only when a contract is signed and partially prepaid. A very common thing in almost any place.

Yes, the case looks like something photoshopped. Here too this was observed with many other manufacturers too.

Buying from Iran? The German Bundeswehr was recently buying MG3 receivers in Pakistan (and got scrap metal) so the answer on Iran is a big YES as they are certinly doing better quality than the Pakistanis (what probably is not that difficult to do).

I'm thinking that Sadam's troops in the first Gulf War were quite disappointed when the ammunition for their 100mm Russian Antitank Guns that they had purchased from Pakistan, that was painted up like APFSDS-T ammo was instead frangible target practice ammo. The Americans couldn't figure out why the projectiles were breaking up on the hulls of their Abrams tanks.
