Japanese fuze

Latest addition to the collection came this morning is a slightly unusual japanese fuze type A8 (a) which is a 2 second delay and was used on the type3 Skipping bomb ?
Sadly this is a " blown model" missing its arming vanes and 1 pin tightening pin see pictures

Hi Fuzeman, Interesting fuze to say the least. All I could find is that the Japanese skipping bomb was made 1n 100kg and 250kg. Skip bombing was accomplished at low altitude with a full throttle pass and the bomb hit the water at a shallow angle allowing it to bounce into the side of targeted ship. Dano
