La Coupole - V2 bunker

We visited this on the final day of our stay in Europe this summer. Its another of those massive WW2 bunker projects and well worth a visit, situated only a few miles from the channel tunnel and easy to find.

The museum situated on the top 2 floors below the dome is very well done with some interesting pieces in there, great info on rocket development and space flight but also many reminders of the people who built it and worked there and the suffering they had to endure, see photo 11.

I've attached some pictures, hope they are of interest. Photos 7,8 and 9 are photos of one of the displays not actual items in the museum. Photo 14 gives a good view of the graphite fins, parts of which sometimes come up for sale on ebay.
