Great grens mate
out of interest,is there a reason why the russian grenade is hexagonal? is it for cost,or to stop it rolling ?
havent seen one this shape before (no comments please)
thanks

Not too sure about the russian gren. Its not very well documented.
Might be the tin can was readily available and was used as an emergency pattern grenade??
Maybe someone will know.
Paul.

Not certain, but it was suggested elsewhere that the Russians had a standardized demolition charge in that shape and the grenade body was designed around it.

And I'll also mention what a beauty that No.16 is. I consider myself lucky to even have one in my collection over here in the States, but I'd be a lot happier with that example!
