M57 fuze for M64 75 mm US chemical shell

Hi guys,
the M57 fuze has been specifically designed for M64 75 mm US chemical shell (possible fillings HD-WP-CNS-FS-FM).
I have two questions:
1. the M57 derives from the M48, modified to have only a super-quick action. In the M57 fuze (even if the delay element is not present) is possible to observe a setting screw connected to a plunger spring and, more deeply, to the plunger). What is the function of the setting screw? Can it be considered a safety element to block the plunger avoiding the accidental the transmission of explosive train during the storage?

2. the M57 fuze is used with M8 burster and M6 burster casing. Because of the M57 has not a booster charge in its explosive train, an intermediate detonator is required ffor proper functioning of the burster charge. Can anyone tell me where this detonator is located? Do you have a drawing?

many thanks,

fab
