hello Mr Bloome,,ive found a image and some information in USA manual TM 9-1904 fig 174 page 433,unfortunately my copy is not very clear (anyone have a good clear copy ??)
some relevent extracts from the TM ref Shell Chemical M64
" General..This round is a new type chemical round, the projectile being equipped with a full length burster. It disperses the chemical agents more efficiently than the older type chemical round since the entire projectile is split open. Projectile M64..This projectile is similar to the HE projectile M48 with the exception of an adapter for the bursting casing in the nose, and the absense of a base plate. The burster casing is a press-fit in the adapter provided for it.The burster assembles within the burster casing.
The standard fillers (chemical) for this shell are ..H, WP, and FS
components..
Fuze M57
Burster M8
Burster Casing M6
Hope this is of use to you..This document is 1944 dated and no doubt there will be changes and variations since it was first published
If anyone can help with clearer images and info please share..thanks spotter
