Nice one , Allan . That's definitely the way to do it & preserve the originality .

thanks siegfreid, yes this one didnt want any repainting even though it has some holes and paint damage it is in nice unmessed with original condition,,i just gave it a good wash with some warm soapy water applied with a sponge and used some fine wire wool to get rid of some of the crud that the soapy water wouldnt move, found a few extra markings under the grime as well.........

Nice job Allan, I agree with Mike, definately the way to present an original item. A light clean, nothing more - everything 100% original.
scarce item I should think.
well done
regards Kev

Allen - Surely to get the bright finnish you applied some oil or wax polish to get it looking like that ? can you advise how you got the colour so bright. Thanks.

Marcus

Hello
Panzernacker thanks but my friend already has a fuze to go with the mine ,the correct fuze for this type is the No3 i believe the one in your sale is a no2 which was used in the GS MK3 anti tank mine..
Marcus,The paint actually came out quite good with just using warm soapy water after cleaning the metalwork i gave it a very light coating of vaseline inside and out to help prevent the rust returning which has since dried dull, yes it does look a bit shiney in the original photos, but heres some ive just taken
