Mystery 37-47mm projectile

Can anyone identify this projectile listed on eBay? It looks to be between 37 and 47mm (about the width of a common light bulb socket).

It must be some type of experimental illumination shell :bigsmile:
Although the cord is kind of short...

No wonder I couldn't find anything on it - I thought it was smaller.
