Hi all
I'm clueless when it comes to the bigger stuff.
The first case is 23" high and looks like a huge .303 case (like i said, clueless!). Case mouth is 3" wide (stamped 3" on the base of the case)
The second is 44cm high but because of damage, can't measure the case mouth but it is about 5cm maybe?
Would like to know the nationality and how they looked with the projectile in place.
Many thanks

I go with Chris on the 2nd as a Bofors - 57mm unless it has been `trench arted` & maybe a shortened 40mm?

More pics

Hi and thanks for the help.
Here's another pic. No signs that the case in the middle was shortened.
40mm bofors on the right hand side for scale...
Thanks again

57 MM Bofors Case.

That certainly looks like a 57 mm Bofors case from the picture.
Attached is a picture of the HE projectile that would be fitted to it along with the correct fuze.
This item was loaned to me by a good friend for a short period and as always fully INERT)
