New WW1 egg grenade with different fuse

here is a picture of my new egg grenade with the different fuse,the markings on the bottom have been painted over but the fuse is ok
is this the no time delay fuse that detonated as soon as the wire was pulled?

yes, it had little or no delay. there has been a lot of debate on this fuze whether it was actually ever issued for grenades. but it does seem to turn up very frequenty on egg grens.
who will ever know for sure?

The fuze looks more like the primer used for german minewerfer to ignite the propellant than an egg grenade fuse - even more logical sense if it had zero delay.

Sounds like the German equivalent of the Japanese type 88 fuse debate for mortar rounds! :)
