Newman Bomb/ Bread basket

Don't recognise the name - is there a model or XM number? Maybe it never entered production?

Chuck,

You used the word Bread basket in your question. There is info about a Russian WWII submunition dispenser also referred to as Molotov Bread basket on the WK2 forum:

I hate to point you to another site, but if Jeff isn't familiar with it, it has to be somewhat obscure, and this might be what you are looking for. Please let us know if this was what you were looking for.

I have one picture of it in PATR 2700 as described as

The center section was the Demolition part filled with HE and equipped with a delayed- action fuze that acted only after the bomb penetrated the target, the nose section contained about a dozen small incendiary bombs which were released by a timing device at the desired moment. the incendiary bombsscattered buring material setting numerous intense fires, thus completing the destruction caused by HE also known as the Newman bomb.
