no 83

Can somebody help me finding out on wich grenades during WW1 the no83 fuzes have been put on ?
I think onley 18 pdr, am I right ?

It was used on 60lb shrapnel

It was used on 60lb shrapnel

In combination with the No 44 it was also used for 4.5-inch and 6-inch Howitzer AA shrapnel.

Later it was adopted for use with 4.5-inch and 3.7-inch QF Howitzer Base Ejection smoke shells.
