Northern Luzon, Phiippines - Gereral Photos

Here is just a general selection of photos from our recent Phlippines trip.

The first batch is taken in and around Baguio City in Benguet Province.

The last photo of terraced mountain slopes should be in the next grouping.

A selection of photos taken in Benguet Province on the mountain road between La Trinidad and Abatan Buguias. Cabbages, carrots, potatoes etc are grown on terraced mountain slopes. From here it is trucked all over the Philippines.

The first few shots are on the road after leaving Baguio an reaching some of the first rice paddies near Nueva Vizczya Province. The roads are nearly all heavily reinforced concrete and are multi purpose, and one frequently see halfof the road being used for drying rice. The traffic just drice around it.

The rest of the photos are near Tabuk, Kalinga Province. Lorries, overloaded, never!!!!! With Benguet Province it is lorry loads of vegitables and in Kalinga Province it is Lorry loads of rice.

The herbatorium for medicinal purposes was found in a small elimentery school in Tabuk and is used as a teaching aid. This school had no lighting in the classrooms which were glummy and only a few computors in the headmistresses office.

In the streets of Tuguegarao, Cagayan Province. A real mixture from horse and cart, tricycles ( motorbike with sidecar), Jeepneys, and modern cars.

Yea they are great. I would like one as well.

Some of them are a real work of art.

I reckon that they would nearly be a Filipino national icon.
