Titchwell: From the bird watchers' car park, take the track to the beach (2 or 3 pill boxes can be seen en route) and turn right when you get onto the beach. These remains are apparently from two tracked vehicles that may have been targets in WW2. They are on the beach close to the sand dunes, approx 1/2 mile from the end of the track that leads onto the beach. On the way is the remains of a concrete structure (see next post).

Not sure what's happened with the photos - I can see them as thumbnails when I go into edit mode, otherwise it means laboriously clicking on each photo title and waiting a few seconds for it to load.

Same again for this post.
Remains of concrete structure on Titchwell beach. This was probably in the dunes in WW2 but has been destroyed by the rising sea level.

The photos seem to have worked this time - I logged out of BOCN and logged back in again.

More from Titchwell. The square thing with handles is about 3 - 4 feet / 1 metre square and seems to have taken a direct hit. It and the scaffold are most probably left over from the WW2 range. The scaffold and other similar amounts of scaffold is sometimes uncovered and is about 300 metres from the end of the sand dunes when you turn left onto Titchwell beach. The square thing is about another 3/4 mile west and about 1/4 - 1/2 mile short of Thornham Creek.

Burnham Overy Staithe. The Dakota did a fly past just for me!? .303" clip, .455"? and remains of 2" mortar smoke found in the dunes. I believe the bird is a Hobby.

Holme-Next-the-Sea (near Hunstanton). I took my mates Bod and Tetleys with me but they didn't survive the trip. Welly boot for rough size estimation of the shells.

The cartridge case next to the .303 clip looks more like a .45 ACP than a .455 Webley.
