Ok another 57mm question

I have a pair of 57MM APs one is stamped M70 1942 (standard U.S. AP) on right
The other is stamped M76 1943
They look identical (see pic)
From what I have been able to find out the M76 was produced by the
U. S. for the Canadians for use in their 6 pounded gun
Anyone have any other info?
Thanks

I don't have my books in front of me to cover the numbers, but there was a blue painted TP projo of a different number that is the same shape as the AP-T. I will check when I get home tonight.

Hey hazord
Just found a 57mm/6 pounder thread from 2007 FROM HARRYG
the M76 IS THE 57MM G TPT
Mystery solved

Hello Ordman,

You're correct, the M76 TP-T was manufactured using mild steel and did not have the armor-piercing ability of the M70 AP-T.
